Before your visit
IV therapy delivers fluids and selected nutrients directly into the bloodstream through a small, flexible cannula placed in a vein. Depending on the formulation, your infusion may contain vitamins, minerals, electrolytes and antioxidants.
IV delivery bypasses the digestive system. The potential benefit of treatment depends on your individual needs, health and the formulation used.
An IM shot is an intramuscular injection that delivers selected nutrients into a muscle.
Vitamin shots are a separate treatment option and do not provide the fluid replenishment of an IV. Our nursing team can explain the available options and assess suitability.
You do not need to choose on your own. Our licensed nurses will discuss your wellness goals, review your medical history and guide you through the options.
Tell us about any symptoms, health conditions, allergies, medications and supplements so we can assess whether treatment is appropriate. We may recommend further medical advice before proceeding.
No. Suitability depends on your medical history, current health and the ingredients in the treatment.
Please tell our team if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have any underlying health conditions, take prescribed medications or have allergies. All treatments are subject to clinical assessment, and some people may be advised against treatment.
REVIV Cayman’s IV therapies and vitamin shots are offered to adults.
There is no single schedule that suits everyone. Frequency depends on the treatment, your medical history, nutritional needs and wellness goals.
Some clients attend monthly, while others choose occasional appointments. Shorter intervals or a course of treatments may be considered following clinical assessment.
Alternating different IVs does not automatically mean they can be given more frequently, as formulations may contain overlapping ingredients.
For IM shots, the appropriate interval also depends on the nutrient, dose and reason for treatment. Our clinical team will advise on suitable spacing and whether blood tests or further medical review are needed.
Contact our nursing team before your visit for preparation instructions specific to your treatment.
Have details of your medications, supplements, allergies and relevant medical history available. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your arm for an IV, or the injection site for an IM shot.
Do not stop prescribed medication unless your prescribing clinician advises you to do so.
Appointment length varies by treatment and includes time for your health review, preparation and administration.
Ask our team how much time to allow when booking, particularly for your first visit.
During your appointment
Your appointment begins with a review of your medical history and a discussion of your goals.
If treatment is suitable, our licensed nurses will explain the procedure, discuss the risks and answer your questions before obtaining your consent. They will monitor you throughout treatment.
No needle stays in your arm during an IV infusion.
We use small-diameter cannulas for your comfort. A needle is used briefly to place the cannula, then removed, leaving only a thin, flexible plastic tube in the vein.
You may feel a brief pinch when the cannula is inserted or an IM shot is administered. Everyone’s experience is different.
Let your nurse know if you feel anxious about needles. Tell them immediately if you experience pain, burning, swelling or any other discomfort during treatment.
You can gently move your arm, taking care around the cannula and tubing and following your nurse’s guidance.
Many clients work on their laptop during their infusion. Others settle into our comfortable lounge chairs, relax and catch up on their favorite Netflix show.
All IV therapies and IM shots at REVIV Cayman are administered by licensed nurses.
Our nurses are trained in First Aid and CPR and are on hand to answer questions and monitor you throughout your visit.
After your treatment
Individual experiences vary. Whether you notice a difference—and how soon—depends on your health, nutritional status and the treatment received.
Some people may not notice a change. No specific result or duration of benefit can be guaranteed.
Your nurse will explain the aftercare instructions relevant to your treatment before you leave.
Follow those instructions and contact the clinic if you have concerns about the injection or cannula site, or feel unwell afterwards. Seek urgent medical attention for severe or rapidly worsening symptoms.
Yes. IV therapies and IM shots are medical procedures and carry risks; however, most discomfort and risks can be avoided. Honestly complete the medical questionnaire, discuss any concerns you have with your nurse ahead of treatment.
Your nurse will discuss the risks relevant to your treatment.
No. IV therapies and vitamin shots are not substitutes for a balanced diet, appropriate hydration, sleep, exercise or medical care.
If you have persistent tiredness, recurring symptoms or concerns about your health, seek medical assessment rather than relying on wellness treatments.
